The December Mission Offering will be supporting the United Methodist Church through apportionments. Meriam-Webster defines apportion as “to divide and share out according to plan.” According to umc.org apportioned funds are, “The main way we support the ministries of the church. A method of giving that proportionally allocates the churchwide budget to conferences and local churches.” This is also referred to as Connectional Giving. This Connectional Giving allows us, as a denomination, to care and provide for others worldwide.
Please be mindful about what you can share for this worthy mission. This offering is taken on the third Sunday of the month, but can be taken anytime during the month. Thank you
